‘Carousel Capital of the World’ Binghamton, N.Y. — 2 Comments

  1. I grew up in Endicott, and as a child, I frequented the West Endicott park and the other carousels. I knew about Rod Serling and and his history, but I never realized the significance of the carousels. I now live in Texas and have so for over 40 years. It was a wonderful childhood. As in the “Twilight Zone” I wish I could revisit those days. God bless America.

  2. Having grown up riding the carousels in Binghamton, Endicott, and Johnson City for free, I am forever grateful to George F. Johnson for gifting the Triple Cities with them!!!! At 84, I still love riding on a carousel and do so, whenever I have the opportunity!!!!
